Our Friday

HumV went to a hockey game last night. He had a lot of fun. He said it would have been better if we were there with him, but it was good. The Green Bay Gamblers won 7-1. And the crowd won free hot dogs! They offer free hot dogs if the Gamblers score 5 or more goals. That's cool.

His class schedule has changed a bit. He doesn't have class tomorrow. He was suppose to have class everyday from Friday (yesterday) through next Friday, everyday. He found out yesterday afternoon in class that Sunday they wouldn't be having class. SO, he will be headed up north to spend time with his dad tonight instead of next weekend. Things could change, again. We have learned with this job, if you don't like change or spur of the moment, this job would NOT be good for you.

We went grocery shopping yesterday afternoon. It was great. Ahem. If you believed that you just won a trip to go shopping with us the next time, at the same place. At times it's good to be home, like when you hear someone call your name in the grocery store parking lot. It's the little things. I didn't have a menu made out or a grocery list made up when we went shopping, so you can imagine what our cart looked like. And the real fun wasn't when I unloaded the cart at the check lane. I have to say I think it was when I bagged all of it as there were at least 3 employees standing down in the do it yourself lanes talking. Good times. Good times. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind bagging my own groceries, but when one has a baby grabbing everything as it comes down (because it had already started to pile up) to be bagged and throwing it on the floor, I feel that I have other things I need to be doing. Move him away you say? I would have but we had limited space on the other side of us. H1 was attempting to catch everything and put it in the cart, not bagged. H2 and H3 were wanting to help bag, but I figured seeing how there were people behind us, I should do it so we could hurry. The topper was after I stopped to pay and the transaction was done, the cashier looked at me like, 'can you get the rest?' Um, happy thoughts, happy thoughts. Positives, I saved money on deli meat. Yes, I asked for 2 pounds of turkey and the lady asked if she could put it in 2 bags to make it easier. Sure, I'm all for things being easier. We ended up with only one pound of turkey. We didn't need it anyway, right? Deli meat really isn't that healthy for you. I guess we shop at Super Target too much. Getting spoiled by people we know there, cashier's that bag your groceries for you. I could even get help out to the car if I asked for it.

Ok, ok, enough of all that. Possitive is, I had three wonderful helpers to bring everything in and help me put it away. One even got the mail and another the newspapers (that we don't read but every house gets one because they're free, that sit in the mail box until they can't shove anymore in where they end up freezing and staying until spring). We had a good evening.
I took a few pictures yesterday. He's dancing in the one above on the right. HumV, while you're away I'll post some for you everyday to go with all the sounds you hear in the back ground of our phone conversations. Love you!

Hi, Loved your story on shopping. Brought back memories of not to many years when I had 4 little ones again . The twins in infant seats filled the top of the cart and 2 little boys hanging on the side made quite difficult to shop. I was never able to fill the cart so the bill was never to high !! Love the pics too. Aunt Charlotte
