************************************************************************************** H2, everyone needs one! He comes up with some of the funniest things. It just makes ya sit back and say, "What?" in a really confused way. It just proves that he does his own thing and really does not pay attention to things going on or that are around him. Does this scare me when I think that someday he'll be out on his own? ABSOLUTELY!! I don't think I'll allow him to go too far away from home when he's older. *Please know that I am joking with all of this. I love my H2, and wouldn't dare think of changing him.

My confused moment #1:

I'm out shoveling snow out of our driveway and dumping it into our yard. H2 comes out to 'help'.

Me: "Oh did you come out to help me?"

H2: "No, I just wanted to come out." (not sarcastic)

Me: "Oh, ok." (it was really just easier for me)

H2 then grabs a shovel and starts shoveling. Um, stop for a moment and pay attention. He is shoveling snow FROM THE YARD to the driveway!!

Me: "Um, what are you doing?"

H2: "I'm helping you shovel."

Me: "Uh, I'm shoveling the snow OUT OF THE DRIVE and dumping it into the yard."

H2: "Oh, ok."

Moment #2:

Me to H1, H2 and H3: "Does anyone know where the ladle is?"

H1, H2 and H3: "No, no, no."

Me: "Are you sure?"

H1, H2 and H3: "Yes, yes, yes."

Me: "Did you use it when you made snow ice cream earlier?"

H1, H2 and H3: "No, no, no."

Me: "I can't find it. You guys haven't used it or seen it?"

H1, H2 and H3: "No, no, no."

H2: "What's a ladle?"

Moment #3:

H2: "Mom, where are the plastic spoons?"

Me: "They are in the kitchen closet, in a container marked 'plastic forks, spoon and knives' on the shelf on the back wall." (can't think of any other way to be more specific, although I'm working on it, H2 challenges me that way)

H2: "This one?" (looking in the pantry)

Me: "What do you see?"

H2: "Cereal."

Me: "What would that be?"

H2: "The pantry."

Me: "Then that's not the kitchen closet, is it?" (We go over this almost daily and we have lived in this house for almost 2 years)

H2: "No. (he goes to the actual closet.) I don't see them."

Me: "H2, they are in a container (as I'm walking to the closet to help him), marked 'plastic forks, spoons and knives.'"

As I get to the closet. . .H2: "Hehehe, I found them, I just like messing you with."

That was a fun post. Your kids sound too cute. One day we are going to have to meet. You know, we live so far apart and all. What 5 minutes? :)
