~~I didn't want you to think that I had to pack and clean all by myself. I have plenty of help. See the blue tub in the first picture? That's all I have packed, only 3 more tubs to go! Baby "E's" toys are in the box. He loves to unpack them. That was the point of putting them in the box, for his entertainment. ~
~~We woke up and it was snowing. Still is. I woke up with Hubby about an hour and a half earlier than normal. He had to head out to work but I thought maybe I could get some stuff packed up and done before baby "E" woke up. We all know what I really meant was, I wanted to get up and have blog time. Even Hubby knew. Of course he teases about my blogging addiction, but guess what he does every evening when he gets back to the room? He checks our blog! He says he wants to read what we did that day (like he doesn't hear about it over the phone). Every picture I take, he says "that's going to the blog isn't it?" No, not all of them go to the blog, just most. ~
~~I haven't packed anything. Oh wait, last night I did pack up the school supplies and books. Whew, I have one thing accomplished. I did get the kitchen cabinets wiped out and am waiting for my coffee mug to be used and put in the dishwasher before I turn that on. So I guess I do have more done than I realize. I was going to go ahead and dust (after blogging) before baby "E" woke up, but that isn't happening, he's awake. I thought I had at least an hour.~
~~Thanks for your comments. I love receiving comments from my friends, don't we all. I will have to teach my family how to leave comments too, I know they're out there. They are blurkers (family, that isn't a bad name, definition is a person that reads blogs without leaving comments). ~
~~A couple of you were wondering where we go to next. For now, we go home. We were told that the winter months would be slow, so expect to be at home from the end of November through January. We were more than ok with that! We knew that Hubby would have to attend some classes in that time. But the children and I would just stay at home. I'm not packing everything up for only a weeks stay at a hotel. Then all of us living on microwave dinners and fast food. It's not worth it. Plus, Hubby needs quiet time to study.~
~~We learned our lesson on trying to plan ahead. When we were in MN with my brother, rumors went around that some of the x-ray technicians would be sent to Colorado and then others would be sent to Illinois. We were ok with either one. We would enjoy Colorado because it is SO beautiful. But we would enjoy Illinois also because it meant small trips home every now and then. Then come to find out we didn't get sent to either. My brother was sent to Mississippi and we were sent home for 5 days so that Hubby could attend a class. After the class we were sent to Wisconsin. You talk about your head spinning! We didn't talk Wisconsin or Mississippi? And we definitely didn't talk about being separated from my brother!~
~~My brother finished in Mississippi and was sent home. Only for a couple of days and then received a call that he needed to go to Illinois, near Chicago, for about a month.~
~~Right now rumor is that there is work out in Connecticut and down in Louisiana. Work is everywhere. Lifetime rule is, you don't listen to rumors, rumors are bad. And through this job, it's the same. You don't believe the rumors because chances are (as we learned) they are just that, rumors. But when you are aching to know something, what your options are, you listen. ~
~~My lifetime motto is "always be prepared". This is especially true with this job. Don't get me wrong. I hope it doesn't sound like I get irritated with this. No way! This is SO much better than life before this job! You talk about your head spinning. Hubby didn't know half the time if he was coming or going. And we would pass each other, literally, at the door as one was coming in and the other was going out, most of the time between 3 and 5 in the morning. There are a few things we have to figure out with this lifestyle, in time.~
~~Hubby has a day of class next week. He has heard a few things as to what could happen as far as being sent out again. However, when we were first told that we would be home from November through January the children were very excited. We told them that we would be at home at least through Christmas. I didn't promise them, but I gave them my word. To me that means the same. So, the children and I will be staying at home at least through Christmas even if Hubby gets sent out. We do know that he will have classes, most of the x-ray technicians will. ~
~~I receive text message updates from Hubby as to how the day is looking. We are planning to leave today if he gets out of work before 1 this afternoon. We really don't want to get home around midnight and have the children wide awake. Otherwise, we will be heading home tomorrow morning. ~
~~~Ok. So I just received a call from Hubby. Turns out we may be here for another week. Packing will not be continued until he calls me and tells me that he is on his way back to the hotel for us to head home. Or until he walks in the room. ~
~~Oh, yes, and the snow has turned from a rain snow to flakes. It really is pretty. Hubby is already singing, "Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow."~
Your kids are too cute. And isn't packing and moving the worst? I just did it in May and it takes a lot out of you! Good luck with the move!
Thank you so much. Everything I have packed, which isn't much, is being unpacked by Baby "E". Hehe. He's having fun too!
Wow, snow??? It's pretty but I do NOT like it! :) I can't imagine packing and then being told one more week! But that's the job, huh? I would love the travel though! Love the pictures of E unpacking!
Wow, can I just say that now my head is spinning? Good luck with the packing and unpacking and packing...lol
BTW...Your husband sounds just like mine with the whole blogging thing. Too funny!
ok, i have missed it! was is it that your hubz does that allows you to move so much?
Oh, that baby just makes me happy. Look at him unpacking all your stuff...that's hysterical. Glad you were too busy blogging to get much packing done since you will now be staying another week. :) Love and miss you! Not the snow though...you can have that. I mean, it's pretty but that's about all it is. ;)
