Bed Time? And A Give-Away? (not on our's, but it's coming)

Ah, it's blog time, I mean BED time. I would love to say that all of my children are in bed. Since we have been home "R" and "T" have stayed up a bit too late. I have let it slide seeing how we haven't been home for so long. It's almost like Christmas to them. They are getting to play with the LEGO's that they left at home. I don't see them too much during the day, only for school and when they get hungry.

"L" is in bed. She has spent the past couple of evenings with her best friend. That's something that she hasn't done in awhile. Tomorrow night she is attending a girl's night at our church and then possibly spending the night with another close friend.

"E" is asleep right beside me. I am sitting in bed enjoying watching him sleep in between my thoughts. He's so snuggly. He has enjoyed being home. Although I wonder if he remembers it at all. He follows me around the house and gets into what ever he can. I can get a lot of work done in the kitchen with him right beside me. I emptied my cabinet of plastic bowls and lids (ya know, the ones that end up multiplying and losing lids). He has had so much fun playing with those. It keeps him away from the cords and outlets that he is attracted to.

I have lightened up as far as the cleaning goes. I still want it done now, but have realized that it's not going to get done all at once no matter how late I stay up working on it or how much time I dedicate to it during the day. I'm really not a crazy cleaning freak I promise. I do like for things to be organized (did that go against what I just said?). There's a place for everything and everything needs to be in it's place. I haven't made it that far just yet. I'm ok with that.

Do you have your Christmas tree up yet? We normally put ours up the weekend before Thanksgiving. This year, the children are asking to wait and put it up in December. YEAY!!!!! I asked if Christmas Eve would work. They gave me a weird look. I laughed because they know how it goes (fast). Our tree comes down on Christmas Day (no I'm not kidding). We have some friends that leave their's up until well into January. How about you? When do you put your's up and take it down?

Ok, now you need a good laugh you say? Not a problem! Here is our tree last year. Hubby and I thought about leaving it like this. We changed our minds don't worry (actually my mom came over and "fluffed" it for us, otherwise it probably would have stayed like this)! Sorry, I didn't get a picture of the finished product. Maybe this year.As you leave my blog, please head over to Juju's blog if you haven't already. She has a great give-away going on. Thanks Ang!

LOL, love the unfluffed tree. It kinda looks like the grinches hat!
I love that you put the picture of your children and their initials. Because now, I can better visualize and picture them! It makes it much easier! Our tree always goes up on the third of December.

I like that cute crocked tree. We put ours up on Thanksgiving night and then it comes down as soon as my husband will let me take it down after Christmas. No keeping it up til January around here...I need that space it takes up.

We put our tree up last night but we haven't decorated it yet. The Things want to do that today...we'll see. And I, like you, take that puppy down either on Christmas day or the day after. I love having it up but a month is plenty and I just want my living room back to normal after that. And what you said about not being a clean freak...I was nodding my head. I am not a clean freak either but I can't STAND clutter. {Hugs} to you my friend! Can't wait to see you next weekend. YEAY!! Ang

That is SO funny. Wouldn't it be fun to just wiggle our nose and have it all done in a second? I mean, I used to love decorating... what happened?
