King's Island

HumV and my brother had Friday off so we decided (a couple days in advance) that we would go to King's Island. Now when I say "we" that would be my brother & his girlfriend, HumV and myself with our 4 children and my nieces and nephew (my sister's 3 children). My sister said she had to "work", pfft, work, whatever, chicken.

We had a blast!!!
That was the first ride they went on for the day. They were soaked all morning in beautiful high low 70 degree weather, perfect for us dry people. :)
HumV managed to get me on one, yes only 1 ride. I normally would have been all over the rides, on all rollercoasters and all (maybe not the DiamondBack) but I have lost my nerve I guess. My brother's girlfriend was nice enough to offer to watch H4 while we walked (barefoot, YUCK) to the "Tazmanian Typhoon". The description for this "ride" was found on their website (http://www.visitkingsisland.com/attractions/category.cfm?ac_id=20), but I'm posting it below.

Tazmanian Typhoon
Imagine sliding down into a monstrous toilet cavern on a cloverleaf-like raft almost 300-feet in complete darkness only to rocket out into an enormous 60 foot funnel that will sling you back and forth out of control! (I may or may not have tweeked a word in that sentence.)

As if the walk up the 97-ish steps (there was a couple across from us that counted them) wasn't enough, and the wind moving them. Then HumV says, "When you look out. . . " I quit listening after that. Um, yea, about that, NO THANKS!!! There were no seatbelts, of course it's a water ride, only the words "Hold On Tight". Once I sat down into the innertube I opened my eyes long enough to watch as we DROPPED out of the tunnel into the funnel. Just a heads up, not the best time to do that!!! Eyes closed again, TIGHT, then opened them again just as we were on the side of the funnel, again, not the best time!! I informed HumV that was the last time I was letting him pick out the ride!
We had a wonderful time!

Love the water rides! Hate being wet! lol! And the Typhoon thing? I like water but I'm not sure I could have done that one! I'm not a big ride person and do NOT want to drop out of anything! : ) Awww...and my cutie patootie little boy in that last photo, is adorable! Glad you had a great day! The weather was beautiful!

I love Kings Island and we used to go 2 or 3 times each summer and we haven't been for 2 years and now I'm sitting here getting the urge to head that way :) My problem is all we do is roller coasters. I seem to forget that any other rides exist in the park! I'm glad you guys had a great time. Kings Island is a great park for the kids and parents!
