Well, summer weather is here. And that means,
I thought you might like to go for a walk with us. Down to the
STOMP!! Why are we stomping? Let the kids count the ways, I mean, holes. Um, yes, that would be snake holes, in these weeds that are taller than
We're there!! Whew! Water!!! You now just have to go through the water to get to the other side.
Um, dilemma. I am SO NOT getting into that water!! N.A.S.T.Y.!!!!
So, off we go to find somewhere that's a bit easier. Yes, around, not through.
And we have found water, again! Yeah! Off they go. But, um, excuse me, dad? Through it, WHAT?
EXCUSE ME!!Don't worry, the mud came right off as I walked through the water and put my left foot right into a deeper hole than my right foot was in as I was reaching for my flip flop that was floating away. (that was not the last time that that happened either.) I really had not planned on touching the water, let alone getting half of my body soaked in it. But apparently it was a lot of fun, FOR MY SISTER!!! Who laughed so much I though she would wet her pants.
In the mean time, the kids are all off having fun.As the kids are all off having fun, not caring what they are swimming with. My sister and I were screaming bloody murder when we found these right where the kids had JUST walked. . .BAREFOOT!!!!!!!
Oh, and by the way, Mother/Father Earth, sister/brother friend. This "pretty", "little" brown freakish looking spider/monster is no longer alive on your earth. However, the bright side is that it's juices (painting a pretty picture yet?) provided a lovely food for other insects. :) I would say I was sorry, but look at it!! The large, heavy rock that I just happen to pick up went flying out of my hand fast enough to where I couldn't stop it. Once it was no longer moving, I pushed it into the ground to bury it. RIP creapy.
And these little cuties just swimming right along. And then as we were grabbing onto tree branches attempting to get up the hill of sand to
escape leave the creek area and back to the snake infested weeds and mud/poison ivy trail. This little guy got up close and personal with me and apparently my reaction just about made my sister wet her pants, AGAIN.As we were off braving the woods and all creatures, pests, insects and whatever else, HumV and H4 were back at my dad's house enjoying the peace and quite.
Thanks for joining us on our walk. Hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

Girl you are one brave Mama! Yikes. those bugs and mud and yucky water. You are a fun and good mama too. I think I would have been the one at home napping too. lOL
What a sweet adventure you all embarked upon! Sounds like you had a super time......
Thank you so much for coming to Jake's open house and not only coming but jumping right in and helping me keep up with it all. I had so many other family and friends watching me work my tail off and you appear and just jump right in. You are always a sight for sore eyes/legs/hand/ and everything else that was killing me at that point. Thanks again!
Hearts and hugs and my fingers are crossed for girlie girl tomorrow! I hope she makes it :)
I cant beleive you left out the truck ride! it was hot but it was fun and hopefully something they will remember. Yeah to be young again, love you bampy
Oh wow, my little guy would have a blast. What a beautiful walk, thank you for sharing, I loved it.
Not only did I feel like I was with you on your hike, I felt as though you were Keli and I was your sister. Although you are much braver than Keli, she would never have left the air conditioning!
Next time make sure your sister wears Depends!
And your pics were BEAUTIFUL!
Loved your walk. Brings back memories of Bampy and my childhood adventures. You do have a way with words. Maybe you should write these storied down and put in a book for your kids when they are older. They would love it. I know from experience. Love to you all Aunt Charlotte
