An Attempt

The other day I talked with one of my aunts that I haven't talked to in quite some time. We used to see her every Sunday morning at church, and then we moved (not far away, but schedules and timing and . . .*insert more excuses here*). It has been more than 4 years now since we have seen her. I had told her that we would send her a photo of our children. Then asked, "what's your email address?" She should have had me sit down before her response of "We don't have email." Come again. Uhhh, how will I get her this picture? I can't text it to her, I can't send it via email, they don't have Internet AT ALL so posting it on Facebook is out too (although I could still do that, just not for her). What? How? Huh? Snail mail? For real? I actually have to send this picture through snail mail? How much are stamps again? Haven't they gone up to like $5 a stamp?

So anyway, now that I have to figure out how to address an envelope again (do I even have any envelopes? What did I do with her address?) I next wanted to get an updated photo. I figured this would be harder than actually figuring out the snail mail thing only because our children really do NOT like having their pictures taken. They used to until I started blogging. One of my children thought that you could only have a camera if you blogged. LOL!!

I explained to the children that I needed a photo to send it to their aunt and uncle (and so I could post it on the blog but I may have "forgotten" to tell them that one). I was excited when they all gathered together to have their picture taken! No fighting, no whining, no. . . Uh oh, that was until H4 figured out that the older ones were cooperating, something was off. So, not ALL of our Hummers cooperated, but it would be very odd if they would have.

And finally we got one that I am happy with, for now.
