We went to a Green Bay Gamblers hockey game last night. It was a blast! We had so much fun watching the game but also with everything else outside of the game. It was Breast Cancer Awareness Night with the hockey team. It was the coolest thing! They were wearing uniforms that were pink and white. Even the referee's were sporting pink and black shirts. It was cool! After the first goal by the Gamblers everyone threw out (new) hats on to the ice to be donated to cancer patients. It brought tears to my eyes.
Tonight's game was about "Caps for Cancer" and supporting Breast Cancer.
It wasn't as cold as we thought it would be. It actually wasn't cold at all. The occasional breeze felt good when the players flew by on the ice. But be prepared, soon after the nice cool breeze was a nasty whiff of fresh sweat. I'm talking worse than locker room sweat. We were three rows away from the ice, so that smell was VERY fresh. It was extremely cool being so close to the ice though!We witnessed a fight and plenty of players spending time in the penalty box which wasn't too far from our seats. We also had the pleasure of seeing many players slammed into the glass. I have to admit that was awesome! That was enough to make me a hockey fan. And being so close to the glass it made you jump any time the players slammed the glass or the puck came flying at you and hit the glass.

We were a bit worried as to how "E" would like the game and all the excitement. He did wonderful!! He enjoyed every bit of it! So much that he was so tired, but he wouldn't relax from being so entertained. He wanted to know and be a part of every bit of what was going on. As far as "R" and "T", they really enjoyed it! To hear them yelling and hear them "AH" and "OOOHHH" was fun. 
We do plan on attending a hockey game back home when the local team plays the Green Bay Gamblers. Sporting our Green Bay Gamblers attire of course!

How fun would this be?! It was two husband wife couples that had the chance to do this. I bet they had a lot of fun!!

What a blast!!! And hockey players fighting (literally) for a good cause...gotta love it! :) Lovin' a macho man wearing pink too. I'm being a bit redundant, aren't I? LOL Hey, I like what you did with your pics during the post too. Mine are always so boring...in the center, straight up and down. Boring! Miss you!

How awsome and for a great cause too. My husband coaches HS varsity football and last week all the players, coaches and coaches wives sported pink ribbons for the very same cause. Also in rememberence of a very special player who lost his mom to breast cancer at the beginning of the month. Great blog...I am visiting via He & Me + 3! Have a great weekend!
