Quiet Time At The Dentist

I finally have time to post. I am sitting in a dentist office as my mom is having work done. We aren't for sure if she's having her teeth cleaned or if she's going to have a wisdom tooth pulled. She gets terrified at the thought of going to the dentist so she will be put to sleep if she has to have the tooth pulled. In that case, she may be a 'little' out of it and needed me to drive her home. I took advantage of the opportunity and brought our laptop. I may make an appointment to sit in their waiting room again soon! How often should I blog? Wonder if they charge for that?

My, my what a week! It has been awhile since my last post. I'll get you up to speed.

We finally have a computer. We have 2 laptops, one had a virus and one had a dead battery. I know, I know, plug it in. I would have if the guy that had the computer for 3 weeks attempting to save/recover schoolwork from the computer's self restore, would have given us our charger back with the computer. However, he argued that I did not leave it or tell him that it was in the bag or show it to him as I told him that it was in there. Good thing is, he didn't charge me for "fixing" the computer (that I don't believe he even touched but managed to lose the cord that I "didn't leave"). He said he would get us a cord/power supply and let us know when it he has it, but he knows that I didn't leave it. I must be crazy (no comments on that please;) ) to think that he would need a power supply/charger to work on a computer. We won't hold him to that phone call though, he never called us when the computer was "done", I called him to check on it. Even though it didn't cost us what it would have to recover the schoolwork off of the computer, it did cost us almost double that to purchase a new power supply/charger.

Anyway, our other computer is off getting rid of a virus. You will hear me cry where ever you are if they can't save everything (my pictures and videos that I didn't get saved, I had been working on it). All I can say is, good thing H1 went back to school just a few days before the virus hit, that was her schoolwork computer. You would have heard her scream and me cry.

We have had a lot going on (hehe, other than the computers). We now have painted walls in our house!! Yay!! Thank you Mr.Mom!!! He does amazing work! Our house looks great! Well, our walls anyway. Hehe. We have 'Lasso' on our family room and front room walls as well as going up our stairs. On our dining area wall in our kitchen we have 'Ocean Breeze' and in our main kitchen area we have 'First Frost'. The blues are very similar. H2 even had a little paint time. In painting the stairs with H2 and H3 going up and down them no one ended up wearing paint. Well, maybe Mr. Mom.
Someone took advantage of the pantry not having doors and helped himself to a snack. We have finally moved to the 21st century. We have gone from this. .To this. .

Yes, I have learned my lesson on letting my husband go TV shopping on his own. We had talked about what size TV we would like in our family room. We were thinking a 42 inch would be plenty big, and I was thinking we could even handle a 37 inch. We don't need a large TV. Well, HumV called me after his purchase. He made sure I was sitting down. He was excited to announce that he had purchased (and already had loaded and was on his way home with) this 50 inch. Um, ok. We then had to go shopping for a stand because the only thing we had big enough to hold this 'hummer' was our coffee table, and that just wouldn't do. I think it's funny, our family room (19x20, which is where the BIG TV is) is a couple feet smaller than our bedroom (19x24). He purchased a 22 inch for our bedroom. Huh? It's ok. I will be looking for a stand with doors though to hide the large TV. Don't get me wrong, it is nice. CSI crime scenes are more fun to see. Feels like you're a part of the scene, I even get my camera out for evidence. And the info given on videos is much easier to see while I'm watching/listening to my morning videos on the Gospel Music Channel, VH1 and VH1 Classic. H4 loves dancing and music (he dances as we walk into our church sanctuary, it's adorable!). Jeremy Camp "Speaking Louder Than Before" is one song that he stops what he is doing and dances to. And to see that on this huge TV is very nice.

I think we are caught up now, for the most part. Whew. I needed a nap living it for the first time, now I'm just going to bed for the day. Good night/day.

My mom is done, it's time to go. I asked them if there was more they could do, I wasn't done just yet. Fill a cavity or maybe a root canal? Not today, I guess. Ok, I guess it's time to leave. Have a good day!

Love how you were posting from the Dentist office. I would love to be able to do that but too many prying eyes last time has me scared to do it. Maybe I should start a post on nosy people...haha.

We bought the big plasma after waiting in the day after Thanksgiving line at COSTCO and have LOVED it. We too got something bigger than we first sought out. We were thinking a 42 and came home with a 52. It was a good deal though.
