Just wanted to share the snow. We are SO sick of snow.
Although, it's beautiful, it needs to go away, NOW.
************************************************************
Today started as a really weird, not in a good way, day. I finally went to bed around 1:30 last night/this morning after I posted my schoolwork on the school site. Well, last night H1 (who has been going to bed at a late hour also) asked me to put her clothes in the dryer before I fell asleep. I told her I would if I remembered. Well, guess what I forgot? Yes, so that started her and I off on the wrong foot this morning. Then H3 has issues with wearing new clothes. So he was mad at me because I made him wear his new jeans. In trying to wake H2 up he got mad at me just because he would prefer sleeping in instead of getting up, jumping in the shower and getting ready for school. (I haven't reminded them in a long time that it wouldn't be like this if they were being home schooled and we were traveling with their daddy. I wouldn't be like that anyway. *cough cough*) On top of all these negative things going on this morning, I look out the window and it's snowing. . . AGAIN.
I dropped H1 off at school, H2 & H3 like riding the bus. After I dropped H1 off at school, H4 and I drove on to the grocery store to pick up a few things (I was in serious need of creamer and sweetener before I could have coffee). The roads looked like they had not been touched by a plow or salt or anything (what else is there? lol) but weren't too bad just yet. The grocery store parking lot had not been touched either. We just had to pick up a few things though so it would be a quick trip. We were finishing up our shopping and headed to a do-it-yourself lane when I over heard them talking & yelling, "are you able to scan?" Um, what? The computers were down, and apparently had been for at least 20 minutes. So we went walking around the store killing time. We headed to the magazine area so that I could entertain H4 with pictures of Choo-Choo Trains and Vroom Vrooms (cars). Until he found a Valentine's Day balloon that entertained him, that I ended up purchasing to keep him entertained in line. The snow was getting worse outside as we were stuck in the store. Come to find out that the cashier's were hand processing everything. They were having to type items in by the UPC codes. If only I would have known that I would have gotten in line a long time ago! So with 2 registers open and approximately 6 or 7 people in each lane with more people trying to figure out where to go, they finally opened a 3rd register. Yay!
We got home finally (about 2 hours later mind you, a trip that should have taken maybe 30 minutes) and I opened the door to get H4 out and there went his balloon. As I'm running around the yard trying to catch it in the snow, I look over and there was a neighbor standing in his front yard facing my house. I know he was laughing, ya just know these things. I felt awful that I had let his balloon go. It didn't get better because once we walked in the door and coats were off he walked around the house saying "balloo, where are yoouuu?" Yep, I'm mom of the year all around. Then as I'm putting the groceries away, H4 is in the family room having a blast dumping his apple juice drink box all over the coffee table and little dollhouse. Good times, good times. I won't be buying those again any time soon.
The rest of my day has been eventless. I'm so glad. I'm going to go attempt and make the day better for my children and make some pink cupcakes with pink icing, ya know for Valentine's Day. Yes, I know, I'm a day late. I will then do my final drawing assignment for my drawing class. Yay!
